Anyone have a smoked turkey recipe?? Or any tips on smoking a turkey?

Chosen Answer:

When i smoke my turkey i usually start off brining it….one cup kosher salt, one cup sweetener( I use molasses) and some enhancers (peppercorns, bayleaf, etc) dissolve the sugar and salt in some water then add to a large pot, place the turkey in and cover with cold water. Let this sit overnight, 12hours usually is good enough. This process with flush out any residual nasties in the meat and add flavor and moisture.

Next step is to dry your bird well. Season the outside with salt and pepper. I like to add an apple and onion to the interior cavity.

Now smoke the turkey, use a mild wood like apple. If you want to use mesquite or Hickory be careful, they impart a very strong flavor.

well i havent smoked weed in 2 months, and i kinda miss it :(. but if i smoke once how long would it stay in?

my system for? any tips to make it get out faster besides water?
what health sites would have this info?

Chosen Answer:

Probably two to three days. I did alot of research on this in the past. THC biulds up in your system. If you smoke every day, it would take six weeks for you to be clean. But smoking say one joint will be gone in NO time. Give it a week to be safe, with lotsa water and pickle juice is good for peeing clean. No joke.

Any tips for quitting smoking when the hubby smokes too?

I feel like I want to quit smoking…really tired of it now. My problem is though, my husband smokes and he is not ready to quit yet. We don’t smoke inside, only out doors. This has helped me cut down to 5 a day again, but I would like to rid myself of smoking all together.
Any tips that can make this easier for myself?

Chosen Answer:

Chew gum. Run to the sink and down a cold glass of water with each craving episode. Find something to keep your hands busy – you could take up needlepoint, scrap booking, rubber stamping… anything to make work for yourself to keep busy. When hubby goes outside, pull out one of these hobbies and start working away.

I used to smoke, too, but quit many years ago, cold turkey. I once smoked almost 2 packs a day. It was difficult to quit so quickly, and I still get cravings to this day. Expect that you’ll be on edge – at least for the first few weeks – when you’ve got a craving that isn’t being satisfied. On the flip side, expect to start feeling a LOT better and more energetic as well. You don’t really know you’re out of breath going up stairs or taking a walk until you’ve quit smoking and suddenly realize – hey, this is a lot easier!

Good luck!

How can I get rid of the smoke smell? (I can’t stand it anymore!)?

Hi, my parents smoke, a lot, and frankly I’m tired of going to school and smelling like smoke. I’m always in my room, but lately my room has been smelling and awful lot like smoke too. I can’t stand it anymore! Can someone please give me tips on how to get rid of the smell, at least on my clothes? It is really bothering me.

Chosen Answer:

put water in the ashtrays, they won,t smell, and the truly awful smell is not the cigaret but rather the dirty ashtray.
There are air purifiers at any store and not too expensive.
Incense sticks also help, ofcourse what they do is substitute the smell for another though.
Most important though, I think in this day and age you should speak to your parents about their habit and set up rules like only smoke outside, or buy air purifiers. When my first son was born I decided to only smoke in the yard in respect for him and for the sake of his health.

How to wash cigarette smoke off flat white walls?

My boyfriend just quit smoking and he did smoke indoors sometimes so the place still smells a little. Its not too bad but we’d like to wash the walls to help get rid of some of the remaining smell.

What is a good way to wash them? Can we just use plain vinegar and water mix and clean rags or do we need to use a special product? Also the paint looks flat to me, not eggshell or anything. What is the difficulty with washing flat paint? The paint is white, does that make it easier?
This is a rental so we cannot paint and I don’t want to damage the walls. Any ideas/tips on how to get the walls cleaner?

Chosen Answer:

Dawn dish soap, warm water, and a rag that you can throw away. The ceiling may need washed too. Be sure to clean your floors as well! Good luck and tell your boyfriend on congrats on kicking such a hard to beat habit!

How can I smoke a cig without leaving a lot of scent behind. . ..?

I wanna smoke, and my parents don’t know. How can I smoke indoors without leaving the smell behind? I know i can smoke outside or just stand next to a window or somethin, but does anyone have like tips on keeping the smell contained and not like floating all over my room? thnx

Chosen Answer:

Wet a towel and wring out excess water, hang in room, smoke odors will be absored in the towel. Get a empty spray bottle and mix fabric softner and a little water together, spray room, and linens(bedspread, curtains, carpet) Keep window cracked to vent out odors as well.

Paint coming off the inside of my pipe, is it safe to smoke out of?

So I borrowed a pipe from a friend and was trying to clean it up just a bit with hot water and q tips.
I started to notice that the paint (which i thought was just colored glass) was coming off.
Is it still safe to smoke out of?

Chosen Answer:

Depending on where the pipe was made, I would probably not use the pipe, as there is potential to have lead based paint or other impurities, that you do not want to be inhaling into your very sensitive respiratory system. Pipes are not to expensive, so investing in a good quality one would only serve to allow you to enjoy this experience so much more!!

Do you have any quit smoking tips?

I am quitting smoking very soon, and I’m looking for any good tips or tricks that can help you quit or anything that helps you deal with cravings. Anything really! :)
Thanks for any responses!

If you have been a long term smoker who has smoked a pack or more a day, I really recommend the Patch (use the clear one… less irritating).

Keep a bottle of water with you at all times and when a craving hits, start sipping on it. You can also chew on sugarless gum for a few moments… if at home, brush your teeth during a craving, start some housework, doodle on a pad of paper. You only have to get through 2 minutes… that is the longest a craving will be. Cravings lessen over time and get better with each day.

Keep your hands busy… start up something new… yoga, drawing, painting… anything. A Rubics Cube puzzles, crosswords will also keep you busy… physically and mentally.

You need to stay away from triggers for a month at least… if not 2 or 3 would be better. Alcohol, caffeine, bars, etc. As well you need to start new morning, after meal, stress, etc routine. Wash your face first thing in the morning, brush your teeth after a meal, go for a walk if something upsets you.

Lastly, go to this site:

Everyone I have recommended it to has really liked it and found it helped them. (Its free). All the people on that site are quitting or have been quit for a long time. They are a supportive bunch and can get you through rough patches, give great tips and help you stay in the game. So do take the time to check it out.

Dude, I smoked for 15 years (Marlboro Lights and Camels). I have been vaping now (e-cigs) for 9 months now and haven’t touched a normal cigarette or tobacco since. Basically I have given up smoking.
You are talking about the e-cigs right (the ones with liquid nicotine fluid), because that is what I am referring to. I vape using the JantyStick V3.

Anyways, I have also slowly been decreasing the nicotine concentration in my vaping. Pretty soon, within a few months, I reckon that I won’t even need to vape at all. It really is good stuff.

I recommend it man. It will get you off the cigarettes and all that crap like tar, chemicals, burning nonsense.
