I want to stop smoking. All my friends smoke when we hang out though…tips?
I quit once for 2 years and like an idiot started smoking again. I hate it and want to quit. I think I could but I get pretty tempted when I’m hanging out with friends chatting, or drinking margaritas. How can I avoid temptation when all my friends smoke around me?

This is a big deal and I relate to it. When I quit , I had the same problem, friends and family who still smoked and wanted to keep me smoking, too. I weaned myself away from them, including my family members, I would not be around them while they smoked, if it is bad for me then…..it is bad for them. My health and was more important, my success depended on avoiding triggers. Alcohol was a huge stumbling block, one drink and I was likely to fire up a smoke and ” quit later”, so I quit the alcohol, too. 20 years later, I can have a glass of wine and not even worry about smoking ever again, but I am over the hard part. Top dieting tips, and tips on how to quit smoking?
Hey, I’m only 17 years old, soon to be 18 and i am already 14-15 stone, now this is a little embarrassing, as i always get terrorized by other people that i don’t know, they are always calling me fat. If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you’ll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn).
Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. Use a calorie calculator – http://calorieneedscalculator.com The number you get from this tool is what your body burns on a daily basis. To lose weight, simply eat less. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don’t think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week.
Don’t make all of these changes at once or you won’t be able to properly adjust to them. Generally, eating healthier foods will decrease your calorie intake. What are some tips to quit smoking?
I’ve been smoking around a year, not quite yet. I smoke about 5-8 cigarettes a day. I’m sick of it but its not as easy as it seems to stop. What are some suggestions to help me quit or atleast cutdown my habit.

The most important thing is the WILL to quit, and you have that. You can quit cold turkey with no problem. All it takes is a little willpower. You are not physically addicted. You’re just addicted to the habit, like biting your nails.
The first 3 days are the hardest, so chew some Nicorette gum. Cold turkey is quick, easy, and cheap. Just make up your mind to quit. How about right now? Just wet any cancer sticks you have, throw them away, and be proud to say, “I don’t smoke!”
5-8 cigarettes a day for a year will make it easy. lungs will back to normal in a couple months, and your clothes and breath won’t be stinky! Kissing you will so much more enjoyable!!
Sweetie, I see women every day find out they’re pregnant, so they quit immediately. No problem! Or worse, I see people with heart disease or lung cancer. The doctor says to quit, and they quit right now! Some of these people have been smoking for 40 years, 2-3 packs a day! It’s all mind over matter. JUST DO IT! I know you can!

What are some tips to help stop smoking weed?
I’ve been smoking almost everyday for the past 6 months. The longest time i’ve went without smoking weed would probably be two or three days. I have a lot of things going for me and the only real reason to quit would be because im not myself anymore. Any tips on quitting?

Weed is not physiologically addictive, you are mentally addicted. Stop buying it, get rid of all of your weed accessories, find a healthy replacement that will get your mind off of wanting to do it.

I really want to quit smoking. Does anyone have any good tips, or even know of any good hypnotism dvds or cds i’ve heard that’s meant to really work. It’s not so much the withdrawl it’s more just the habit…

I just wanted to encourage you in your quest to stop this bad habit. It does catch up with you. Quitting will change your life. You won’t realize it until you have gone a while. It will be mentally/psycholigically/physically challenging. My son had given me a picture of a smoked lung and a clean lung. Very motivating. regardless of your age it will benefit your life Good Luck
Black & mild fliter tip?
Has any one tried them were they and good or better than the normal black & milds with tips i don-t think i would like them because they look like over size cigareet i will keep smoking the tipped black & milds- DON-T SAY TO STOP SMOKING IT IS MY CHOICE

My husband just emailed me and asked me to ship him 10 boxes of the Black and Mild Wine…..he is deployed and said that he and the cooks enjoy smoking them at night. Try those….my hubby doesn’t smoke much so they must be good.

I wanted to share my point of veiw on nicotine buzz.
This is the only reason why i smoke dont smoke to be cool. Nicotine buzz is like getting high for me or slightly drunk
This is how you do it, you get a cigarette take a long drag and hold it in your lungs for ten seconds and you let go you constantly do this and try not to breath any other air exept for smoke. After ypu do this if you do it right your limb feel tingly around your eyes you should sit and lean against something or lay down or else youll fall and you feel like your in the air its amazing you feel stress free, dont do this over and over because you could faint from lack of air ( you can take a little breath between your drags but it may reduce the effecTs )

Its hard I’m 24 and I started smoking when I was about your age and I smoke bout a pack a day almost. I tried to quite a few times the only I tried that helped at all was the gum

You need to seek medical help if you want to quit, its a lot easier that tobacco as there are no addictive chemicals added to keep you hooked..
