If you want to lose weight, you need to two things: eat less and exercise more. Weight gain happens when you create a calorie surplus (eat more than you burn). Your body takes the excess calories and converts them to fat which get stored around your stomach, arms and thighs. The longer you remain in a calorie surplus, the more weight you’ll gain. To lose that weight, you need to do the opposite. You need to create a calorie deficit (start eating less than you burn).
Your first step is to figure out how many calories you burn on a daily basis. Use a calorie calculator – http://calorieneedscalculator.com The number you get from this tool is what your body burns on a daily basis. To lose weight, simply eat less. It sounds a lot easier than it is but making small changes helps you adjust to a new lifestyle. Don’t think of this as a diet, think of it as a new life. Instead of eating foods high in sugars, white flour and saturated fat, go with fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, fish, lean meats, nuts and beans. In addition to eating less, you also need to exercise more. Start off at 1-2 times per week and work your way up to 3-5 times per week.
Don’t make all of these changes at once or you won’t be able to properly adjust to them. Generally, eating healthier foods will decrease your calorie intake. Compare a doughnut to an apple and you’ll see that healthy foods are lower in calories. You can find some more information at the Beginner’s Guide to Dieting – http://straightdiet.com
What are some tips to quit smoking?
I’ve been smoking around a year, not quite yet. I smoke about 5-8 cigarettes a day. I’m sick of it but its not as easy as it seems to stop. What are some suggestions to help me quit or atleast cutdown my habit.
Chosen Answer:
The most important thing is the WILL to quit, and you have that. You can quit cold turkey with no problem. All it takes is a little willpower. You are not physically addicted. You’re just addicted to the habit, like biting your nails.
The first 3 days are the hardest, so chew some Nicorette gum. Cold turkey is quick, easy, and cheap. Just make up your mind to quit. How about right now? Just wet any cancer sticks you have, throw them away, and be proud to say, “I don’t smoke!”
5-8 cigarettes a day for a year will make it easy. lungs will back to normal in a couple months, and your clothes and breath won’t be stinky! Kissing you will so much more enjoyable!!
Sweetie, I see women every day find out they’re pregnant, so they quit immediately. No problem! Or worse, I see people with heart disease or lung cancer. The doctor says to quit, and they quit right now! Some of these people have been smoking for 40 years, 2-3 packs a day! It’s all mind over matter. JUST DO IT! I know you can!
Bless you and good luck!
The tip of my cigar has a little carck in the leaf, what can I use to mend it?
Its not the type of cigar you can lick and mend it… Romeo y Juliet. Any type of glue or anything organic, anything that won’t kill me when I smoke it..Ex:any type of glue….

Cigars, especially the good ones, can cost a fair amount of money. To that end, a damaged cigar can be a very disappointing thing. Of course, it is only disappointing if one isn’t aware of just how easy it is to fix them.
First, forget any notions one may be harboring about wetting the wrapper with one’s tongue and sticking it back together in that fashion. This will not work. A glue must be used to stick the wrapper back together. The appropriate glue is available at just about any grocery store.
To repair this cigar, one must journey no farther than their local grocery store. There is a natural glue called pectin which is used for this process. Remember to never use a chemical glue when trying to repair a cigar! The fumes can be quite toxic. If the frayed portion of the cigar is near the foot or the cap, one may attempt to trim it back to a more advantageous portion of the wrapper but real pros get the most out of their cigars and that means making a repair.
The glue required is called pectin. It is available in the canning section of most grocery stores. This is a food-grade substance and one need not worry about any harm from smoking it. It is odorless and flavorless when combusted so it won’t affect the taste of the cigar adversely, in any regard. This glue is mixed with water in a quantity that results in a sort of tacky gelatin which, in reality, is exactly what pectin is. This gelatin is applied to either the free end of the wrapper or that portion of the barrel to which the wrapper is to be glued, or both, and held in place long enough for it to set and dry.
To fix the cigar, mix the pectin with water until it takes on a tacky quality. Get a bit on the fingertips and apply it to the wrapper on the damaged spot. One will have to hold the wrapper in place for a few moments to allow the glue to set. Pull the fingers away gently to ensure that the wrapper is not sticking to the pectin on one’s fingertips. Examine the cigar before lighting it to make certain that it is sealed correctly and then light it as one would any other cigar. One may wish to let it sit for a while first to make certain that the glue is dried.
I received unprotected oral sex and now the tip of my penis itches a little?
I received oral from a girl who smokes three days ago. Could it be a yeast infection/UTI? If so what are ways to naturally get rid of it. I’m also going to get an STD test at the end of this month. It doesn’t hurt so much as its irritated/tingly sensation. It doesn’t hurt when I pee but I noticed that there’s some pee droplets that remain near the top lol…(if theres any relevance).

Any good tips on quitting smoking?
Serious answers only please.
I smoke little primetime cigars like somebody would cigarrettes. About half a pack to a pack a day. I’m tired of wasting my moms money to buy these. What are good tips to quit?
Chosen Answer:
The most effective method is cold turkey. Anything else is just screwing around. I’ve detailed my personal experience at the website in the link below. I smoked 1+ packs per day for 7 years and have been quit for 2.
Smoke rings, how the heck you do that?
Anyone have any tips? Thanks.

Kind of like a fish.
Hold your tongue up halfway, hold your lips puckered in an O. Puff outward just a little and close your jaws slightly at the same time, keeping your lips and tongue immobile. Should be a pretty quick but light movement.
prelude white smoke and seems to be getting hot under hood but temp gauge is fine?
i just got a 93 prelude vtec it was sitting for about two years barely driven i changed the oil and drove it for a little bit. It seems like it running hot cause the hood is really hot and it smells like old burned gas or exhaust is coming out. It runs fine i just didnt know if it could be an piston ring problem becuase it blue smokes sometimes and the smell is just not normal. Could it be from just sitting a while or what need tips
Chosen Answer:
there are several things that can be causing it but most likely it has to do with the car sitting.
the first thing to do is to check the oil level. If you over-filled it when it was changed it could cause the excess to be forced up into the combustion chamber and burnt.
the second is that that the spark plugs may be fouled so that you are getting an incomplete burn in the combustion chamber.
the third is that the car may have been flooded trying to start it and that would dilute the oil and cause it to burn through the PCV system.
the fourth could be an external leak from a dry valve cover gasket causing the burning smell.
The fifth would be condensation inside the exhaust system that has accumulated inside the muffler, pipes or catalytic converter while the car sat. Its not unusual to see white smoke from the exhaust simply because of water that has condensed inside the exhaust system while the car sat.
if it were a head gasket the smoke would be pure white when the engine is hot.
i’d suggest running the car for a few days to see if it clears out. If not, then start with the other maintenance items (spark plugs, valve cover gasket, valve adjustment) and if the blue smoke is still evident, then check the compression.
if the car was running okay before it sat then chances are your problems are related to storage and not something that went bad mechanically.
engine gives smoke for minute when starts but after that no smoke honda d15b ?
some one told me that the seals of spark plugs are broken cause i have a little oil on the tip of the spark plugs ..no oil in the spark plug tube .. so ??? what is it, is it only the rubber seals or am i looking into a big problem .. cause after a minute it doesn’t give smoke no matter how long i let it run
Chosen Answer:
This smoke is oil that has dripped down into the cylinders after the car has been shut off. When you start it,the oil in the cylinders, burns off in the white/light blue smoke. This is due to worn or cracked valve seals located under the valve covers. They can be replaced without pulling the heads off by putting air pressure in the cylinder that your working on.But it is still expensive. But it’s the valve seals,100%!
Thank you and good luck. You don’t HAVE to have this repair unless it’s a nice car or whatever. If it’s an older car, which I’m pretty sure it is.You can also limit how much it drips by adding higher viscosity oil like 20w50.Or even a straight 40 or 50w oil.But during the winter no higher than 20w 50.
How can I remove smoke stains from my wall?
So I lit a candle and was too close to my wall I guess :/ I tried scrubbing my wall with soap and a sponge. I even used those Clorox wipes and it removed a little but it’s still there. Any tips on how to remove it? Thanks

Here in the UK, we can purchase something called sugar soap. This works really well. http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=10287505
I have my own cleaning business here in the UK, this is what we use.
What is the tip out percentage at Ruby Tuesday? TEN POINTS?
I just started today as a server. I have some server experience at Cracker Barrel and we got to keep all of our tips. The one that’s close to where I live now is hiring, but they have a smoking section and I don’t want to work around that everyday. So I went to Ruby Tuesday which is I’m sure a much different experience. Any stories to share from anyone who has worked there?
Chosen Answer:
Hey, my little sisters works at a Ruby Tuesday. She is the host. As far as I know she gets around 5%-10% of the servers tips. They do not have any bus boys/girls. So I believe that they only have to tip out 5%-10% of their tips.
She likes the place, she says it is surprisingly fancy.
Hope this helps!
