Just installed a woodburner, lit it last night and the whole house was full of smoke for the first 10 mins, everywhere smells of smoke now, dont know how to get rid of that smell, but would like some tips how to light it without repeating the smoke fiasco of last night?

Both of the posters are correct in that initially you need to “prime” the flow of air up the chimney through the flue by creating a lot of heat (such as burning paper or another safe accelerator). However, neither offered a suggestion on how to get the smoke smell out.

I have a 2000 5 speed vw jetta. and when i take off from a stop sometimes it smokes out the exhaust when i change from 1st gear to second. now the check engine light is one, but they said it was the o2 sensor. i just replace the catalytic converter. any hints or tip on what to do? thanks!

you might want to have the vehicle checked out by a reputable shop,to further see whats wrong with it,usually smoke between changing gears is caused by over loading on gas or bad valve stem seals ,either way id have it checked,most shops will check this and tell you what it is or what they think it is for free,so you have nothing to loose by doing it,good luck on it.

Just wondering if smokers would rather smoke a normal cig or “vape” on a ecig.. ie the 4000 chemicals in a normal cig that is proven to cause problems inc cancer.. or the ecig that only contains a few inc the nicoteen needed for the addiction but has no harmful effects overwise.
None ecig educated people please think about your answers or do some research please…thanks

Electric Cigs all the way.. bought mine about a year ago, after i was fed up with MD’s stupid no smoking indoor ban.. Not only do your lungs start to work again, but you can smoke it anywhere ..
I havnt had a normal cig since i bought it.. Christmas is right around the cornnor, just tell the person who is allways nagging you about somking (we all have them) to get you one. And if you dont like it then just send it back.

I do not smoke, nor do I ever plan on becoming a smoker. I just think that the exhaling smoke or vapor part is cool. Is there anything I could put in cigarette rolls that would have no harmful effects? I mean no nicotine, no tobacco, no toxins, absolutely nothing bad.

I do know of the eSmoke cigarettes, but my pockets aren’t deep enough to fork over 0 for something to just fidget with.

Anyone have any ideas?

There is no such thing as ‘harmless’ smoke. It’s smoke. Something is on fire and you are going to breathe in the smoke. Smoke is not air. We breathe air. Eveyrthing else is not what we should breathe. Sorry for saying the same thing over and over there, but it should be common sense.

There are less harmful things you can smoke than standard commercial cigarettes. You could smoke additive free tobacco, or pot. Both are going to be healthier than comercially produced cigarettes with tar and nicotine, etc. added to them. That is not to say that the pure smoke alone from either of those products is ‘healthy’ just that it is less unhealthy.

However, paper itself is a toxin. Just lighting the paper and inhaling the smoke can cause cancer (among other ailments). It’s simply unhealthy to smoke anything, especially when using paper. You can get around this by using a pipe to smoke (whatever you choose to smoke) in. Make sure you get a good one that is heat resistant and doesn’t add toxins to your smoke (believe it or not, I once saw a plastic pipe … it was stupid)

If you don’t smoke, I wouldn’t start. Especially cigarettes. You’re better off find a different hobby and leaving smoke rings and such to smokers.

I’ve decided to quit smoking and was going to try patches but I heard ecigs help just as much and give that feeling that your really smoking. But I heard they taste nasty. So what is the most natural tasting ecig when I normally smoke malboro reds.

Electronic Cigarettes or E-Cigs are not exactly the total solution for every smoker or wanna be smoker. It does take some getting use to. As you say some people say it does taste nasty. But does have many up sides compared to regular cigarettes. But I know some heavy smokers who tired ecigs and totally hated it (no matter how much better they are for you). I would not dive in head first into this (as it could get expensive). I would start out with a sample or starter kit. See if you like it, then it’s your call. I would try to find a place like http://www.ecigs411.com and get a free trail offer for a e-cigs starter kit (as long as your over 18 & live in the USA). Again, some people really like it and others just totally hate it. Hopefully, you’ll find what you’re looking for. Good luck.

I just converted to the ecigs but after I charge for a day the battery only lasts like 2 hours which is bad because this only defeats its purpose.

Small batteries don’t last very long and the smaller the less well they work. Marketing hype is usually misleading too, it’s common for claims to be made about battery and cartridge life that don’t translate to real life use.

The latest bigger battery ecigs do work a lot better than the toy type ones. It’s best to do a bit of research before buying, independent vaper forums are good for that.

Also, price does not reflect quality, you can get the best ones for under .

I’m not a smoker but need an ecig with the length being 84mm and the width 8mm. It’s a specific e cig I saw and it didn’t light up when you inhaled. It was also automatic and it hit as hard as a 510 did. I’m just wondering if anyone knew any store that sold such a n e cig with those dimensions
